We are seeking a skilled and versatile Farmhand to join our large-scale farming operation. This role goes beyond traditional agricultural labor; we are looking for an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude, construction experience, and expertise in modern greenhouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both field production and the maintenance of our infrastructure and heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including bulldozers and graders, to support land development and field preparation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute complex repairs on farm equipment to minimize downtime during critical operational windows.
• Construction & Facilities Management:
  • Lead or assist in the construction and assembly of greenhouse structures.
  • Maintain and repair greenhouse systems, including grow lighting arrays, automated controls, and environmental regulation equipment.
  • Manage general plumbing, irrigation system installation/repair, and basic electrical troubleshooting throughout the facility.
• Welding & Fabrication:
  • Perform structural welding and metal fabrication as needed for equipment repair and infrastructure improvements.
• Cultivation & Operations:
  • Execute daily cultivation tasks utilizing modern farming practices and precision agriculture techniques.
  • Assist in crop management, monitoring plant health, and optimizing greenhouse climate control systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator (specifically bulldozers and graders).
• Strong mechanical background, with specific experience in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in construction, including greenhouse assembly and structural work.
• Technical skills in plumbing, irrigation systems, and electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication.
• Comprehensive knowledge of greenhouse grow lighting systems and modern, large-scale cultivation practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure and work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PLC or advanced environmental control systems in controlled-environment agriculture.
• Valid certifications for heavy equipment operation or welding.
