Job Summary

The Research & Development (R&D) Lab Technician supports daily laboratory operations by maintaining a safe and organized lab environment, managing chemical and consumable inventories, handling hazardous materials, and conducting documented chemical reactions, purifications, and filings according to established procedures.

Job Description

• Maintain a safe R&D laboratory environment by taking on active safety responsibilities
• Follow guidelines and best practices for laboratory notebooks, data storage, and backups
• Conduct and document inventories of laboratory chemicals and consumables
• Safely handle hazardous chemicals and canisters
• Organize and maintain laboratory storage areas
• Conduct and thoroughly document chemical reactions, purifications, and chemical filings in accordance with established instructions

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check

Pay Rate/Salary

• $29/hour. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
