Our client is an innovative U.S. manufacturer developing advanced motion-control technologies for highly engineered applications where reliability, precision, and performance are critical. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the electrical design and development of advanced BLDC motor systems, including motor modeling, controller electronics, PCB design, and electrical test equipment from initial concept through production.

Focus

• Support the electrical design and development of BLDC motor systems using engineering calculations, simulation, and modeling tools.
• Design and develop electronic hardware for motor-control applications, including electrical circuits, printed circuit boards, controller electronics, and supporting systems.
• Design and develop electrical and electronic test equipment used to evaluate motor, controller, and product performance.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, engineering documentation, and technical design records.
• Develop, prototype, bring up, evaluate, and troubleshoot embedded electronic hardware, PCBs, and electrical assemblies.
• Support verification and validation activities, product performance testing, and engineering documentation throughout product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges throughout product development and production.
• Provide engineering support through design, testing, production introduction, and continuous product improvement.
• Participate in root-cause investigations, design reviews, and corrective actions that improve product reliability, manufacturability, and overall performance.

Skill Set

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Five or more years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Professional experience designing electronic hardware and supporting electronic product development within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in electronic circuit design, PCB design, board bring-up, and electrical hardware development.
• Experience supporting electric motor products, motor-control electronics, or other precision electromechanical systems.
• Experience developing products through concept, prototyping, testing, verification, validation, and production.
• Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics, engineering documentation, and revision-controlled design records.
• Experience working within structured engineering documentation, quality systems, and product development processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting the electrical design or simulation of electric motors, motor-control electronics, BLDC motor controllers, power electronics, Altium Designer, LabVIEW, regulated manufacturing environments, firmware development, or motor simulation tools such as Siemens eMachine is highly desirable.
