A-JAX Company is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to support established customers and generate new business across coastal Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry.

In this role, you’ll work directly with contractors, manufacturers, maintenance departments, industrial facilities, and other commercial customers. You’ll learn how their businesses operate, understand their purchasing needs, and recommend products that support their projects and day-to-day operations.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, building lasting relationships, and turning customer conversations into opportunities for growth. Experience in industrial supply, construction products, fasteners, MRO, manufacturing, or a similar business-to-business sales environment is especially valuable.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with customers through regular visits, responsive communication, and consistent follow-through.

• Grow territory revenue by developing new accounts and expanding business with existing customers.

• Identify prospects through outreach, referrals, networking, and research within the territory.

• Meet with customers to discuss projects, product applications, purchasing requirements, and operational needs.

• Recommend appropriate products and coordinate with internal teams to address customer requests.

• Guide opportunities from initial conversation through quoting, follow-up, and closing.

• Prepare responses to customer inquiries, requests for information, and requests for proposals.

• Organize weekly customer appointments and prospecting activity to maintain productive territory coverage.

• Keep account records, sales activity, and opportunities current in the company CRM.

• Develop account growth plans and collaborate with the Vice President of Sales on forecasts and territory strategy.

• Stay informed about company offerings, competitive products, pricing, and local market activity.

• Work closely with inside sales, operations, and support teams to deliver a consistent customer experience.

• Complete other related responsibilities as needed.

What You Bring

• Two or more years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience preferred.

• A background in industrial distribution, contractor supply, fasteners, manufacturing, MRO, building materials, wholesale distribution, or related B2B sales strongly preferred.

• Experience selling to contractors, construction companies, manufacturers, maintenance teams, or commercial and industrial accounts is highly desirable.

• Ability to develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with established customers.

• Experience planning a geographic territory and conducting in-person sales visits.

• A consultative approach to sales, with the ability to connect customer needs to practical product solutions.

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

• Ability to manage your schedule independently while collaborating with internal teams.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and tracking sales opportunities.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Relevant product experience may include industrial supplies, hardware, tools, equipment, safety products, building materials, or other technical and application-based products.

Schedule and Territory

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position, primarily during standard business hours. Some flexibility is needed to accommodate customer appointments and job-site schedules.

Regular local and day travel is required throughout Savannah, GA; Brunswick, GA; Bluffton, SC; and nearby communities. Vidalia, GA may also be included as business needs evolve. Overnight travel is not typically required.
