Inventory Cycle CounterThere are two available shifts: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Please indicate your preferred shift on your application.Summary: The Cycle Counter is responsible for verifying inventory in both the warehouse and production floor. As discrepancies are encountered, they will be involved in the corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. They will also assist with Material Handling functions such as pulling and putting material away.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cycle counts for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goodsEnsure that materials are in their proper locations and identify any misclassified inventoryAssist in moving material between sites using SAPHelp correct counts in production and identify any Bill of Materials (BOM) errors that may be causing discrepanciesOrganize and clean materials while conducting countsMonitor and maintain the integrity of inventoryEnsure that First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices are being followedMaintain accuracy in product identification, location, and lot codesResearch and investigate the root causes of inventory discrepanciesRecommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesOpen cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items or weigh materials to determine the quantity on handReport any discrepancies in over/under amounts and any damaged productsVerify that daily warehouse pulls and put-aways are completed correctlyLoad, unload, identify, label, and put away inbound materialPick, pull, and distribute materials to appropriate warehouse locations to support manufacturing and order fulfillmentQualificationsIntegrity: The job requires honest and ethical behaviorSelf-control: The job requires maintaining professional composureTechnology-oriented: Proficient in using scanners, iPods, computers, etc.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments simultaneouslySelf-motivated, cooperative team member with a personal commitment to excellenceExperience working on the shop floorMust demonstrate strong communication skillsStrong attention to detail and time management skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsPrevious experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word requiredMinimum High School Diploma or equivalent required2+ years of work experience with Material Control/Cycle CountingForklift and picker experiencePrevious experience in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environmentSAP WM/MRP/ERP system (preferred)Ability to read and understand English instructionsMathematical Skills: Strong math skills requiredAbility to convert units of measureAbility to read design specifications and technical drawingsPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; stoop, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse and manufacturing environment. These could include exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and consistent loud noise. The employee will also need to be able to tolerate high places while performing counts.
