Critical Environment Facility Support EngineerJob#: 3056658Job Description:OverviewWe are seeking a Critical Environments (CE) Technician – Mechanical to support the safe and reliable operation of mechanical systems within a data center environment. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and responding to issues related to cooling and mechanical infrastructure to ensure continuous uptime.Shift: Sun-Tuesday (every other Wednesday) -12 hr shifts- 6a-6pRates: Will be based on qualifications, experience, and certifications but can expect to range from $45-$53*Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and operate mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and associated equipmentPerform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairsRespond to alarms, incidents, and escalations to maintain critical uptimeSupport planned and unplanned maintenance activitiesAssist vendors and contractors during on-site workFollow all safety, compliance, and change management proceduresDocument work performed and report system status to leadershipRequired QualificationsExperience working in a data center, critical facility, or industrial environmentBasic understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling, pumps, air handling)Ability to work independently and follow detailed proceduresStrong attention to safety and complianceComfortable working shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call rotationsPreferred QualificationsPrevious Critical Environments, Facilities, or Mechanical Technician experienceHVAC or mechanical certifications or trainingExperience supporting mission-critical infrastructureWork EnvironmentData center environment requiring PPEStanding, walking, lifting, and equipment operation may be requiredEEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
