Our hospital is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes through advanced medical technology and a compassionate approach to healthcare.OverviewThe primary responsibility of the Health Information Systems (HIS) Analyst is to support hospital operations through the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex information systems issues. This role acts as a bridge between clinical workflows and technical infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, secure data integration, and continuous improvement of healthcare applications.Duties:EHR & CLINICAL WORKFLOW OPTIMIZATION· Serve as a primary technical and workflow specialist for Electronic Health Record (EHR) modules, including cross-training on adjacent clinical and administrative systems.· Conduct rounding on departments to collaborate directly with end-users and clinical staff to analyze, validate, and continuously improve workflows.· Design, build, test, and maintain core clinical and administrative content, including documentation templates, forms, and system configurations.· Lead and participate in system testing, validation, and upgrades, ensuring workflow integrity and operational continuity.PROJECTS & CLINICAL IMPLEMENTATIONAct as a liaison between clinical/administrative departments and IT to translate operational needs into technical solutions.Manage or participate in IT projects, including system enhancements, module implementations, and integration initiatives.Deliver structured training and proactive support to end-users, developing system documentation, tip sheets, and user manuals to drive system adoption and best practices.SYSTEM, DATA, & INTEGRITYProvide advanced troubleshooting for end-users to resolve complex system-related issues, incidents, and requests in a timely manner.Support and troubleshoot clinical and administrative system integrations, interface feeds, and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) needs.Collaborate with staff to identify reporting needs, build custom queries and dashboards, and ensure system configuration supports operational and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), cloud hosting vendors, and third-party software partners to manage servers, security solutions, and network infrastructure.Adhere to all change control policies and procedures for the building, testing, and promotion of changes to the live production environment.TEAM COLLABORATION & GENERAL IT SUPPORTActively participate in team meetings, share specialized knowledge with peers, and cross-train on other applications to support department redundancy and team goals.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EMR functionalities, healthcare IT trends, and administrative best practices through continuing education.Serve as a cooperative point of contact for IT help desk requests, managing and resolving technical support services alongside application tickets.Participate in a shared on-call rotation, providing after-hours support for application and general IT infrastructure incidents.Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the department.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in health informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.Working knowledge of IT clinical processes, procedures, and healthcare operational workflows.Familiarity with system testing processes and methodologies.Demonstrated project management and implementation skills.Well-developed skills in organization, problem-solving, and analysis.Strong customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft administrative tools, including Active Directory, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Visio.Working knowledge of SQL querying and HL7 integration standards.Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms, integration, and secure file transfer (SFTP) tools.Experience in coordinating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), cloud hosting vendors, and third-party software support teams.Ability to travel less than 10% of the time.Preferred:Minimum five (5) years of health information system experience.Previous Meditech experienceExperience building Power BI reporting dashboardsWE OFFER:NO city wage taxFREE parking!
