GSRP Associate Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to join our team. The GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Associate Teacher will support the educational development and social emotional growth of preschool-aged children in a learning environment that promotes engagement, exploration, and discovery. The Associate Teacher will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum, manage classroom activities, and assist in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students. Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans that align with the GSRP curriculum frameworks. Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction to reinforce skills and concepts taught in the classroom. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the Lead Teacher regarding individual student needs. Contribute to the ongoing assessment of student development and learning through observation and documentation. Assist in preparing reports and maintaining records as needed for student assessments and curricula. Support behavioral management strategies and assist in resolving conflicts as they arise among students. Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by organizing materials and resources effectively. Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to promote team cohesion and effective collaboration. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff Regular and predictable attendance Cognitive Demands: Supervision of multiple students at once Establishing routines and procedures Maintaining a safe and orderly environment Create and implement instructional plans Participate in continuous professional development Effective oral and written communication skills Physical Demands: Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25lbs Stand and walk frequently Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year Withstand a moderate noise level Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary Assist/lift students, as necessary Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and the GSRP framework.
