AI Engineer (Entry Level)

Salary: $60,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on coding experience gained through coursework, projects, or internships
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and web or backend fundamentals
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute in an Agile environment
• Bachelors degree
• U.S. citizenship
• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement in Washington, D.C. or Virginia
• Ability to pass a coding challenge, background check, and drug screening
• Preferred experience with AI-assisted development, such as AI-generated tests or AI-supported refactoring
• Preferred exposure to cloud services, databases, or CI/CD
• Interest in security, privacy, and handling sensitive data

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted DevSecOps practices to help accelerate secure containerization of legacy applications while preserving security compliance
• Build and maintain AI-enhanced CI/CD pipelines that generate security policies, container configurations, and infrastructure-as-code templates from application requirements and best practices
• Use AI coding assistants for implementation, refactoring, and documentation in line with team standards
• Create unit and integration tests, expand coverage, and reduce defects
• Accelerate pull request reviews with AI-generated summaries, risk notes, and review support
• Search logs and documentation with AI tools to troubleshoot issues and remove blockers
• Collaborate with product, design, security, and compliance teams to deliver production-ready increments
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing and delivery of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
• Participate in technical solution and design discussions
• Perform proofs of concept and develop end-to-end solutions across the delivery lifecycle
• Add new features while improving efficiency, reliability, and scalability to meet client needs
