Key Responsibilities

Armed Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment through proactive observation, strong communication, and responsible decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting patrols and maintaining a visible professional security presence
• Monitoring access points and controlling entry when necessary
• Observing and reporting suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Writing clear, accurate, and professional incident reports
• Responding appropriately to emergencies and security incidents
• Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with the public
• Operating within company policies, client expectations, and applicable state regulations
• Demonstrating sound judgment in both routine and high-pressure situations

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Utah Armed Security Officer License
• Must be eligible to obtain or maintain a Utah Concealed Carry Permit
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate professional judgement and decision-making ability
• Must be physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
• Must be able to climb stairs and remain alert during extended shifts
• Must maintain professional grooming and appearance standards
• Must demonstrate reliability, discipline, and a strong work ethic
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a professional level.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following backgrounds are highly desirable

• Military service
• Law enforcement
• Corrections
• Executive protection
• High-level security operations
• Defensive tactics or martial arts training
• Emergency response or medical training
