Systems Engineer II (LabVIEW)

Overview AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee‑owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems. Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research. Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD. Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results. Some travel ( What's In It For You Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance. B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or a closely related field.
