Registered Nurse - Infusion

Infusion Registered Nurse Opportunity

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized infusion therapy within an outpatient oncology infusion center. The role involves administering chemotherapies, managing patient care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions, including blood products and coagulation factors.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values or adverse reactions.
• Manage vascular access devices such as ports and PICC lines, ensuring proper care and troubleshooting.
• Provide comprehensive patient education on treatments, medications, and symptom management.
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records and adhere to safety protocols.
• Support patient psychosocial needs through education and emotional support during treatment.

Qualifications:

• Valid MI nursing license in good standing; pending licenses accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, with specific infusion or oncology experience preferred.
• Current BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certifications.
• Strong skills in venous access, medication administration, and patient assessment.
• Knowledge of oncology treatments, infusion machines, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and care coordination skills.
