TAB (Test & Balance) HVAC Technician

Dallas, TX

We are seeking an experienced TAB (Test & Balance) Technician to perform testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be NEBB Certified and capable of independently evaluating system performance, documenting findings, and preparing accurate reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing of commercial HVAC air and hydronic systems.
• Verify equipment performance and ensure systems meet design specifications.
• Mark up mechanical drawings and plans for TAB reporting.
• Collect field data and compile equipment information into Excel-based TAB documentation.
• Identify and document system deficiencies and operational issues.
• Prepare punch lists and deficiency reports as required.
• Communicate findings with project managers, contractors, and field personnel.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NEBB standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Current NEBB Certification required.
• Experience performing commercial HVAC testing and balancing.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and report preparation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• $30–$45/hour, depending on experience.
• Company vehicle provided.
