Per Diem Technician Pharmacy

Overview Responsible for performing technical tasks involved with storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs. Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, maintaining patient records, and completing required documentation of work. Works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and requires excellent knowledge of drug names, dosages, dosage forms, and the procedures for preparation and calculations of dosage forms. Responsibilities Handle storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of medications in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications. Maintain accurate drug inventory and patient records; complete required documentation of work. Qualifications Excellent working knowledge of drug names, dosages, dosage forms, and dosage calculation procedures.
