About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians. What Do We Offer? Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities. Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching tasks. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma. 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, or certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards. 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE). Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles. Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience.
