As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies. Key Responsibilities: * Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies. * Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions. * Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. * Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation. * Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes. * Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. * Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. * Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff. Qualifications and Requirements: Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an associate or bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing. Required Certifications * BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire * ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire. * TNCC - Preferred * 1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience - preferred About our Health System Highpoint Health Sumner is a 167-bed hospital located in Gallatin, TN and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.
