We are currently hiring a Warehouse Manager –Retail Division

Position Summary 

The Warehouse Manager provides leadership for all Retail Campus warehouse operations, including receiving, dry storage, refrigerated and freezer inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse personnel. This position is accountable for inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, receiving controls, product temperature management, food safety, employee performance, and the efficient flow of products throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Leadership and Team Management 

·         Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and accountability for warehouse supervisors, leads, and warehouse personnel. 

·         Manage staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and employee development. 

·         Establish clear expectations and promote accountability, teamwork, and effective communication across shifts, including pass-downs regarding inventory, operating priorities, safety concerns, and customer requirements. 

Inventory Management and FIFO Control 

·         Maintain ownership of inventory accuracy for all dry storage, refrigeration, and freezer inventory through effective receiving, storage, cycle counting, reconciliation, and inventory control processes. 

·         Establish and enforce FIFO practices throughout receiving, storage, replenishment, order selection, staging, and shipping to maintain product rotation, traceability, and inventory integrity. 

·         Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, variance investigations, and corrective actions to minimize discrepancies and inventory loss. 

·         Monitor aging, damaged, held, and slow-moving inventory, partnering with Operations, Quality, and Customer Service to reduce risk and optimize product utilization. 

·         Ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and meet company traceability and recordkeeping requirements. 

Warehouse Operations 

·         Direct receiving, storage, staging, loading, and shipping activities to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient product movement.

·         Ensure inbound products are received, inspected, documented, and stored in accordance with company, customer, food safety, and temperature-control requirements.

·         Maintain effective control and organization of dry storage, refrigerated, freezer, dock, and staging areas to support product protection, food safety, inventory accuracy, and efficient workflow.

·         Ensure products are received, stored, staged, and shipped within established temperature requirements and promptly address conditions that could compromise product safety, quality, or regulatory compliance.

·         Ensure customer orders are loaded and shipped accurately and on time in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Food Safety, Quality, and Compliance 

·         Ensure warehouse operations comply with SQF requirements, GMPs, sanitation standards, traceability requirements, customer specifications, and company policies. 

·         Support customer and third-party audits, regulatory inspections, product recalls, and traceability exercises. 

·         Maintain warehouse operations in an organized, compliant, and audit-ready condition. 

Safety and Risk Management 

·         Promote a safe work environment through compliance with company safety programs, operating procedures, and applicable regulations. 

·         Ensure employees receive required onboarding, on-the-job, and safety training, and verify training is completed, documented, and applied consistently in daily operations.

·         Hold supervisors, leads, and employees accountable for following established safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

·         Conduct routine warehouse inspections, promptly address hazards, and ensure incidents and corrective actions are documented and resolved. 

·         Partner with Safety and Maintenance to address facility, equipment, and operational risks. 

Performance Management and Continuous Improvement 

·         Monitor key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, receiving accuracy, temperature-control compliance, order accuracy, productivity, fill rate, on-time shipping, labor utilization, and safety performance.

·         Utilize RedZone and other operational systems to monitor performance, drive employee engagement, reinforce accountability, identify training opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Analyze operating data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable changes that improve efficiency, service, and cost control. 

·         Provide regular operational updates to leadership and proactively address risks and challenges. 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications 

·         Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

·         Progressive warehouse or distribution leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing or refrigerated, frozen, or other perishable-product operations.

·         Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, FIFO management, temperature-controlled storage, cycle counting, shipping, distribution, food safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.

·         Experience leading teams and driving accountability for safety, quality, service, productivity, employee development, training, and operational performance.

·         Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory software, Microsoft Office applications, and operational performance platforms such as RedZone to support accountability, employee engagement, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments.

·         Knowledge of SQF, GMPs, food safety standards, and warehouse safety practices preferred.

·         Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screening.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements 

·         Ability to work in warehouse, dock, dry storage, refrigerated, and freezer environments as operational needs require. 

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift or move materials within established company guidelines. 

·         Ability to work around powered industrial trucks, loading docks, trailers, racking systems, and warehouse equipment while following required safety procedures. 

·         Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed to support business operations.
