PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) OF POSITION

Perform duties to assist Supervisor to maintain the flow of work in assigned department while also operating assigned

equipment. Manage and monitor the activities of others under the direction of the Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity and

3. Promote safety, environmental responsibility and continuous quality improvement in accordance with

company policies.

4. Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.

5. Train employees, monitor employee work activities, assist with unusual problems and take action as required

to meet planned schedules and maintain work quality standards.

6. Oversee steel bar and plate inventory, ensuring ERP accuracy, inventory integrity, and correct stock

levels through cycle counting, KPI monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

7. Ensure uninterrupted production by managing material availability, inventory flow, and warehouse

operations.

8. Coordinate inventory activities involving railcar shipments and maintain familiarity with Union Pacific

rail operations.

9. Manage steel plate and bar scrap collection, storage, and drop-off operations while ensuring compliance

with company safety and environmental standards.

10. Operate material handling equipment, including Trackmobile, spotter truck, overhead crane, forklift,

and CombiLift.

11. Perform inventory control, warehouse, and material handling activities in both indoor and outdoor

environments.

12. Troubleshoot and diagnose unusual equipment, material and tooling problems and take necessary corrective

action.

13. Assist with utilizing performance based management tools to improve the standard of performance and

development of the team members.

14. Follow up with employees on completion of production records as required.

15. Maintain safe working practices and good housekeeping conditions in the department.

16. Keep Supervisor informed of unusual problems and notify Supervisor to reorder department supplies.

17. Follow up with Maintenance department on equipment needing repair in the department.

18. Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
