Physical Therapist

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our renowned academic medical center in Boston. In this role, you will provide evidence-based, patient-centered rehabilitation services to a diverse adult and geriatric population across inpatient and/or outpatient settings, helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life following injury, illness, or surgery.

As a Physical Therapist at Tufts Medical Center, you will independently evaluate patients using comprehensive examinations, functional movement analysis, and standardized outcome measures. You will develop and implement individualized plans of care that incorporate therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation, gait and balance training, and appropriate modalities. You will adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, clinical reasoning, and current best practices, while maintaining meticulous and timely documentation in the electronic medical record to meet hospital, regulatory, and payer requirements.

You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that may include physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and social workers to coordinate safe, effective, and efficient care. You will provide clear education and counseling to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment goals, home exercise programs, and strategies for long-term self-management. In this academic medical environment, you will have the opportunity to engage in ongoing learning, participate in case conferences and in-service education, and support the development of students and newer clinicians through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
