Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 90-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Manage a primarily medical patient population including diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, AKI, and radiation patients, as well as occasional surgical cases
• Administer and monitor non-titrated drip infusions including Heparin and Lasix
• Operate and manage respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP and stable trach patients
• Collaborate with Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), charge nurses, and a dedicated telemetry monitor technician
• Float as needed to MedSurg, stable low-acuity ICU, and RDU settings

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Medical Surgical or Telemetry specialty
• Recent experience in a Trauma Level I or II hospital setting
• Recent and proficient Epic EMR experience
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work every other weekend and approximately 2–3 holidays per contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS certification
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring (dedicated monitor tech on unit; travelers not required to read tele)
