Job Description

The Forklift Operator works in a warehouse environment performing a variety of material handling and inventory tasks. The role involves operating reach trucks and other forklifts, supporting picking and packing activities, and assisting with cycle counting and inventory monitoring while using basic computer functions and RF scan guns.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach truck forklifts and other stand-up or sit-down forklifts safely to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.

• Perform basic warehouse functions such as picking, packing, staging, and organizing products according to work orders and instructions.

• Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and verify products and inventory locations accurately.

• Support cycle counting and inventory monitoring activities to maintain accurate stock levels and records.

• Follow established procedures for loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the facility.

• Learn and operate a cherry picker as part of cross-training in multiple warehouse departments.

• Use basic computer functions to enter, update, and review inventory and order information as required.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety rules and warehouse guidelines.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity and quality goals.

• Adhere to all facility security procedures, including entry and exit protocols.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of warehouse experience.

• At least 6 months of forklift operating experience, including reach truck and stand-up forklift operation.

• Ability to operate basic functions on a computer for inventory and warehouse tasks.

• Willingness to be trained in all warehouse departments, including cherry picker operation.

• Experience using RF scan guns for picking, packing, and inventory tasks.

• Ability to perform picking, packing, and general warehouse duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with high reach forklifts.

• Experience with sit-down forklifts.

• Experience with cycle counting and cycle count processes.

• Experience using tuggers or similar material handling equipment.

• Comfort working in a busy warehouse with multiple departments and tasks.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
