Overview Emergency Department RN- Lutheran, Methodist, & Methodist West Hospital Now Offering a Limited-Time $20,000 RN Sign-On Bonus! UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time eligible RNs (Including Residents) hired or offered into acute inpatient roles between April 1 and July 31, 2026 , paid in milestone-based installments. Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for full-time offers when relocating more than 50 miles. Shift: Full and Part Time Nights, Day/Night Rotation, Weekend Package Rotating weekends and holidays Shift Differentials: Shift differential of $5/hr for hours worked 3pm-11pm Shift differential of $7.50/hr for hours worked from 11pm-7am Weekend shift differential of $7.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am Step into the fast-paced, high-impact world of emergency care at Lutheran Hospital and Methodist West Hospital . We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to provide expert emergency care to children and adults experiencing emergent injuries, acute illnesses, and behavioral health crises. ED RNs deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while thriving in a collaborative, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities Provides and coordinates nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Completes documentation to assure an accurate record of patient’s care. Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgments, and maintains responsibility for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients. Collaborates with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations. Assesses needs of patients and families, provides appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and makes the necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care. Demonstrates professional development by keeping abreast of current nursing practice and healthcare trends. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa Experience: Minimum of twelve months acute RN experience. All newly licensed RNs or RNs with less than 12 months of acute RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, are required to participate in the RN Residency program.
