About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: 3+ years recent ICU experience Description: Number of beds in the unit: 10 Number of staff: 12 Staffing includes day and night shift roles with charge nurses and RNs. Patient ratios are 1:4-5. Equipment used includes Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. EMR is Meditech Expanse. Typical procedures performed in the unit include STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, and Intubation. Best personality fit includes being friendly, honest, flexible, a multi-tasker, compassionate, able to work well with others, having a sense of urgency when needed, and possessing superb critical thinking skills. Every other weekend is required, with no on-call duty.
