JOB DESCRIPTION: Document, train, plan and execute test activities concerned with quality control. Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process, including First Articles, compile and evaluate data todetermineandmaintainquality and reliability of products. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Review production schedulesin order toplan for QC Lab Test work and testing requirements needed to support Manufacturing and Engineering Effectively communicate changes to procedures and/or intern reaction to customer complaints Implement product quality standards and process controls, including In-Process, Final and Stage II inspection and test,samplingand trainingprocedures Assistin developing Test Procedures and Work Instructions Review and audit production process for conformance to quality standards, set up sheets and product specifications andstandards Select products for tests at specified stages in production process: test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions,performanceand other visualcharacteristics Perform tests to ensure products meetspecifications Confer with management or engineering staff todeterminequality and reliabilitystandards Record test data, applying statistical quality controlprocedures Evaluate data andwritereports to verify orindicatedeviations from existingstandards Prepare graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer foranalysis Calibrate equipment, preparesamplesandvalidateproduction data,retainsamplestorage Assistin writing procedures asnecessary Assistin development and implementation of QC Technician training programs, providetraining Conduct testing and generate reports through the Certificate of Analysis process tocustomers Assistin projectsrelativeto Customer complaints/investigations and continuousimprovement Other duties asassigned Qualifications: RequiredEducation &Skillsets: (This should be aspecificand REQUIRED list) 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Control function in manufacturing environment Driver's license in good standing Ability to use a computer; (e.g.manufacturing software, e-mail, Internet) Proficiencyin Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and Outlook Ability to follow documented procedures and standards and keepaccuraterecords Excellent time-management skills; ability to perform multi-tasks in a fast- pacedenvironment Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry outinstructions Ability to work 12-hour shifts including over-time to meet businessneeds Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g.safety rules,operatingor procedure manuals Ability towritereports and correspondence,maintainrecords,inventoriesor otherlogs Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals Ability to calculate figures and amounts; percentages, area, circumference, andvolume Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements in fractions anddecimals Ability to travel between facilities or to customers;maintaina good drivingrecord Ability to communicate effectively with workers, contractors,supervisorsandleaders Preferred Education & Skillsets: High School Diploma or GED with some secondary education Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee must: Be able to lift a minimum of 50pounds Be able to push or pull heavy objects up to 250pounds Be able to work 8 - 12 hoursshifts Perform repetitivetasks Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch,twistand balance; sometimes in awkward or tightspaces Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability tofocus MeetMativcertification requirements tooperatePower Industrial Trucks PPE Requirements: Employeesare required towear Personal Protective Equipmentincluding; Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe) Safety Glasses Bump Caps ProtectiveGloves;when performing certain tasks Hearing Protection; whenrequired Other personal protective equipment asrequiredfor certaintasks Work Environment:Conditionsare that of a manufacturing environment.
