Surgical Instrument Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 5x8 hours (09:00 - 17:30)

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Instrument Technician with experience in Trauma Level I and II settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and sterilizing surgical instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with industry standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterilization and processing of surgical instruments using various equipment including steam sterilizers and low-temperature sterilization methods.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and monitor biological indicators.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of instruments for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the availability of necessary instruments.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical environment.
• Trauma Level I and II experience required.
• Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA (current and valid).
• BLS certification required.
• Active MD or Compact license at the time of submission.
