Summary

You'll build, run, and continuously improve the AI-powered systems that drive Deel's global go-to-market engine. This is a hands-on, builder-first role — you're not advising on what to automate, you're doing it. Participate in product planning (From discovery all the way to deployment). Our teams work together to develop robust new features, API's, continuously improve our AI Leading products and find and fix any bugs at DeelSpeed.

What You'll Do

Identify and prioritize high-impact technical and product problems

Design, code, and deliver high-quality, scalable applications with Node.js

Ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable under real-world conditions

Lead execution through others (not just individual contribution)

Partner with GTM Teams to ensure technical work drives business outcomes

Run, monitor, and iterate on live workflows. You don't set it and walk away — you own the quality and performance of what's in production.

What Matters Most

• Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using TypeScript, Javascript, React, Express. Experience with NestJS, Vite, and Next.js is a plus.
• Define and implement technical strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead innovation through rapid prototyping, iterative development, and problem-solving.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Partner with GTM Teams, design, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless alignment on goals.
• Coordinate efforts across teams to drive complex projects and ensure shared objectives are met.
• Communicate technical challenges, opportunities, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
• Resolve complex, multi-team technical challenges by fostering collaboration across disciplines.
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with emerging web development trends, frameworks, and best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance development processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software development — with hands-on experience shipping AI or LLM-powered workflows in production. This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have.
• Strong software development fundamentals:
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
• Experience designing maintainable, scalable systems
• Ability to write clean, structured, and testable code
• Strong SQL skills:
• Ability to write complex queries from scratch
• Deep understanding of data structures and query performance/impact
• Experience working with APIs and distributed systems:
• Debugging integrations and system interactions
• Understanding data flow across services
• Strong problem-solving ability:
• Root cause analysis across code, data, and systems
• Experience working in production environments:
• Handling incidents, debugging issues, and managing escalations
• Expert in the art of designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications.

• Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.

• Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
