About the Position

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Valid Compact RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (NRP preferred) Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: The position requires floating between units. Weekends are required on a rotating basis. Patient ratios are expected to be 1 to 5. The facility type is Critical Access with 23 total staff beds. The daily census averages 16 visits with 7 rooms available. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Staffing support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy. Staff are expected to manage a variety of patient conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdose, respiratory infections, and traumatic brain injury. Candidates should have skills in tracheostomy care, intubation, chest tube insertion, and management of dysrhythmias. Special equipment may be used in the unit. References are required covering your experience within the last 3 years. Applicants should indicate any previous experience within similar facilities. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Flexibility in scheduling is essential as inflexibility may lead to termination of the assignment.
