Responsible for direct patient care in the assigned department and, as needed, in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Demonstrates knowledge of Joint Commission, federal, and state regulations. Actively participates in routine checks of all equipment used in the Surgery Department. Collaborates with the Director, Manager, and all other team members in idea sharing and utilization of resources, and assists in cross-training staff when assigned. Participates in the hospital mission and values in day-to-day activities. Encourages teamwork to provide patient-focused care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse with current state licensure; Current BLS required. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous surgery experience preferred. With low, fixed nurse-to-patient ratios, our nursing team has time to get to know their patients and their families while providing high-quality, safe, patient-focused care. Patient rooms are fully stocked with all necessary supplies and arranged in a circular, pod layout around each nursing station to streamline patient care.
