Vice President of Business Development (Minneapolis)

Our client is a provider of fresh, ready-to-eat food solutions serving grocery retail and other high-traffic foodservice environments nationwide. With a focus on quality, innovation, and consistency, they offer a range of fresh and prepared foods designed to meet evolving consumer demand. The company is well positioned for continued growth and is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to drive continued expansion.

This role leads business development efforts focused on winning new grocery retail accounts and expanding existing partnerships. The individual will build senior-level relationships, drive the full sales cycle, and leverage customer insights to inform commercial strategy. They will partner cross-functionally to ensure strong execution, profitability, and long-term account growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, sales, account leadership, or commercial executive experience, ideally at the VP level or above
• Strong track record selling into grocery retail, particularly within deli, fresh prepared foods, foodservice, or related in-store concepts
• Established relationships with regional and national grocery retailers, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional sales efforts from pursuit through execution
• Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation skills and the ability to identify growth opportunities through customer insights
• Executive presence with a collaborative, resilient leadership style
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
