Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, ensuring to communicate the details of the process with empathy
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of top-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records within the electronic medical system
• Continue your professional development by staying informed on advancements in ultrasound imaging

Educational Background

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certification Requirements

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
