Tool and Die Maker
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tool and Die Maker to join their team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting the production of high-precision tools and dies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
Location: Brea, CA
Pay Range: $32 - $37
Shift: 2nd Shift
What's the Job?
- Operate all departmental machine tools to support manufacturing operations.
- Construct, modify, or repair a variety of standard and non-standard tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to precise tolerances.
- Produce most production dies for cold heading machines, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Independently perform the full scope of tool-making tasks, including setup and operation of machines such as lathes, surface grinders, honing machines, and hydraulic presses.
- Obtain instructions, sketches, and blueprints from lead personnel and source raw materials from department stock.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5-10 years of related experience working as a tool maker with carbide.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints accurately.
- Experience in aerospace or sheet metal manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various machine tools and maintaining close tolerances.
