RN - General Surgery & Medical Acute - La Jolla - Nights

Position Overview Full‑time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) 12‑hour night shift schedule with variable days, including weekends and holidays. Location: Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Unit Description General Surgery & Medical Acute: 36‑bed General Surgery and Medical Cardiac unit (5P) in Prebys Cardiovascular Institute on the Scripps Memorial La Jolla campus. Patient population includes bariatric, gynecologic, colorectal, and medical cardiac patients. Responsibilities As a registered nurse you will monitor and recognize patient vital signs, symptoms, telemetry readings, and EKG for abnormal heart rhythms or changes such as atrial fibrillation, heart blocks, ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation. You will collaborate with surgeons, physician assistants, cardiologists, general medical practitioners, family nurse practitioners, charge nurses, nurse assistants, and other care team members to achieve optimum patient care. Benefits Position eligible for a New Hire Retention Incentive of up to $7,000. Pay range: $59.16–$85.68 per hour.
