Our privately owned optometry clinic is looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team!

This is primarily a front desk/reception position and is often the first point of contact our patients have with our clinic. The right person will be friendly, welcoming, organized, and able to keep things moving in a busy office environment.

General responsibilities include:

• Greeting and checking in patients
• Answering and directing incoming phone calls
• Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
• Collecting and updating patient demographics and insurance information
• Reviewing appointment information for accuracy and completeness
• Assisting with insurance eligibility and benefit verification
• Managing incoming patient requests and messages
• Contact Lens orders
• Data entry and maintaining accurate patient records
• Assisting patients with general questions
• Providing backup coverage at checkout when needed, including collecting copays and patient payments
• Light cleaning and general upkeep of the front office
• Assisting with other office duties as needed

Previous medical office, optometry, insurance, scheduling, or customer service knowledge is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Experience is helpful, but character, reliability, good judgment, and a willingness to learn are extremely important to us.
