Data Architect Senior - Data Products (SQL, Hadoop, Data Modeling)

Position Overview As a Data Architect Senior within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Strongsville, OH; Birmingham‑AL; Pittsburgh‑PA; or Dallas‑TX. You will serve as technical authority for enterprise data, partnering with engineering, architecture, and business teams to design, govern, and operationalize trusted data assets. This role applies deep expertise in data architecture, metadata management, lineage, and data quality controls to ensure consistency, regulatory alignment, and scalability across platforms, enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and risk‑aware decision making. Key Skills and Expertise Enterprise data architecture (relational and NoSQL) Data governance, metadata management, lineage, and quality frameworks SQL and data analysis across large, complex datasets Analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., BI tools, data warehouses, data lakes) Data integration and ETL/ELT patterns Regulatory, risk, and financial data concepts (e.g., controls, traceability, auditability) Strong partnership skills with technology, risk, and business stakeholders Responsibilities Design, develop and optimize highly complex, specialized data warehouses with flexible and scalable data and ETL architecture to support business users and BI applications. Analyze business intelligence data and make recommendations for data warehouse growth and integration for the enterprise. Work with IT and business customers to develop requirements for designing the overall data warehouse architecture. Provide support and technical guidance to ensure architecture and framework are aligned with BI application needs. Lead and consult on the implementation and integration of data warehouses; ensure data is current and meets organizational quality and integrity standards. Qualifications Eight or more years of industry‑relevant experience in data architecture, governance, ETL, and BI. Bachelor’s degree (master’s or PhD desirable). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data architecture and documentation standards. Experience with enterprise risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. No specific certifications are required at this time. Pay Transparency Base Salary: $55,000.00 – $148,460.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
