Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with couplet care and intermediate fetal monitoring certification for a 13-week assignment.

Details

Labor and Delivery unit with 16 beds within Ob Gyn Combined department
Patient ratios maintained per AWHONN guidelines
Day shift schedule 7A-7P
Weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts within a 6-week schedule
No scheduled call, though hours may flex down based on unit census
Floating not typically required, but may float to task/secretary duties if needed
Uses GE Centricity/Paragon EHR system

Requirements

Active RN license (NC or compact) required
Current certifications: BLS and NRP
Fetal Monitoring certification required at intermediate level or higher
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
Couplet care experience required
LDRP experience required
Some NICU experience required

Additional Information

Work within a Joint Commission accredited, Duke Lifepoint hospital with a comprehensive ED and advanced ICU/PCU
Facility holds an 'A' rating in LeapFrog Hospital Safety
Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Candidates who worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
