Civil Engineering Intern

Title: Civil Engineering Intern Reports to : Designer, Senior Designer, or Engineer Location : Flanders, Hackensack, or Wall, NJ Salary Range: $22 – $24/hr, based on graduation year Brief Description: A civil engineering intern assists and receives supervision from an assigned Designer, Senior Designer, or Engineer with various project-related tasks, which may include: Base-mapping existing conditions within the limits of a given scope in AutoCAD. Mapping out all existing utilities for a given project. Site visits to verify existing conditions. Prepare and design construction plan sheets. Prepare traffic control plans for use in installation. A civil engineering intern should have the knowledge of engineering standards, as well as state and local regulations. A civil engineering intern should be in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Technical Departments: Land Development / Municipal Gas Utility Land Survey Water / Wastewater Schedule: Candidate can expect to work approximately 100% of their week in the Flanders, Hackensack, or Wall, NJ office. Company hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. This position generally works standard business hours, Monday through Friday. However, occasional site visits, field work, or business-related events may be scheduled outside of normal working hours. Flexibility in schedule is required to meet business and client needs.
