Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Towson, Maryland.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 6 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 6 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring MD or compact RN licensure and ACLS/PALS/NIH certifications.Details\n \n Emergency Department setting within a hospital\n Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric\n Average daily census of 30 with 40 beds\n Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4\n Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, chest pain, MI, STEMI, and non-STEMI cases\n Stroke center with TPA administration capability\n Lower trauma volume but includes MVAs and fractures, with a trauma center located 10 minutes away\n Psychiatric patients treated in the ED, sometimes up to 6 out of 40 patients\n Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)\n Every other weekend rotation required\n Holiday coverage required\n Block scheduling cannot be accommodated\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Maryland state or Compact) required\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)\n Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required\n CPI certification required for facility staff\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities and diagnoses\n Special scheduling requests and RTO must be submitted at time of application\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757656.
