Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient women’s health setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds and be comfortable working directly with physicians, patients, and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

\n

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecologic patients.

\n

• Perform first, second, and third trimester obstetric ultrasounds.

\n

• Perform transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound examinations.

\n

• Evaluate fetal development, fetal anatomy, fetal heart activity, and other pregnancy-related findings.

\n

• Perform gynecologic ultrasounds to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, adnexa, and surrounding structures.

\n

• Obtain accurate images and measurements according to established protocols.

\n

• Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic findings and document appropriate information for physician interpretation.

\n

• Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation.

\n

• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding exam findings and any urgent or concerning observations.

\n

• Provide compassionate and professional care to patients throughout the examination.

\n

• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper operation and cleanliness.

\n

• Follow all facility policies, procedures, safety standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.

\n

• Maintain required certifications and continuing education.

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

\n

• ARDMS certification required; OB/GYN certification (OB/GYN) strongly preferred.

\n

• Previous experience performing OB/GYN ultrasound examinations.

\n

• Strong knowledge of obstetric and gynecologic anatomy and pathology.

\n

• Ability to perform both transabdominal and transvaginal examinations.

\n

• Strong attention to detail and ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

\n

• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

\n

• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with physicians and clinical staff.

\n

Preferred Experience

\n

• Experience in an OB/GYN physician practice, women's health center, maternal-fetal medicine practice, or similar setting.

\n

• Experience with high-risk and routine obstetric examinations.

\n

• Experience with fetal anatomy surveys, dating ultrasounds, growth studies, and pelvic imaging.

\n
