About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 1-3 - Proficient in Epic charting system Description: Postpartum experience preferred. Weekend requirements may apply to meet staffing needs. The unit typically cares for high-risk obstetric patients. Nurses circulate during cesarean sections. Average daily census ranges from 15 to 20 patients. Floating may be required to meet facility needs. Travelers will float within their scope of practice. Additional patient care responsibilities include administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and antepartum care. Experience with high-risk deliveries and postpartum hemorrhage management is essential. Travelers may be expected to work two out of three major holidays. References covering the last three years are required. Candidates should be prepared for possible floating between nearby facilities. Communication devices may be provided as needed for the assignment. Housing options may be limited; candidates should explore housing arrangements in advance. Modules are non-billable and must be completed prior to the start date. Completion of required modules will be recorded.
