Join us to innovate for impact and reimagine the future of health and nutrition for patients and consumers.POSITION SUMMARYThis position works collaboratively with internal partners such as global transportation, demand/supply planning, warehousing and with external partners such as 3rd party logistics, ocean carriers, drayage carriers to control all processes related to the consistent flow of Nestle controlled ocean, air, and surface traffic to/from foreign destinations. Daily monitoring, inquiry, resolution, and communication with internal/external parties to facilitate timely movement of international shipments imported/exported to and from the US.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with internal and external partners to limit costs and risks in the supply chain while also driving process improvementsManage ongoing relationships with import/export vendors, including ocean and dray carriers and conduct periodic (quarterly or bi-annual) vendor reviews with agreed upon metrics and targetsAssist in leading RFP's related to International Logistics/Drayage vendorsWork with Nestle Global Transportation to determine annual container forecast, select preferred carriers and manage allocations with steamship linesManage claims related to damages occurring during international shippingServe as the internal subject matter expert for international logistics related processes, industry trends, etc.Attend seminars, conferences, and presentations on International Logistics to keep abreast of current eventsLead and manage projects utilizing decision making authority to change functional processes to improve end-to-end executionIndependently resolve problems and provide solutions with understanding of business and customer impactCollaborate with cross functional team to determine best routing options/solutions to avoid delays and mitigate costsAnalyze port costs and implement best practices to mitigate port delays/chargesDevelop methods and procedures to execute various logistics operations and activities, functionally and efficientlyEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSUndergraduate degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience is requiredEXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTSProficient in MS Office including Excel, Access, PowerPoint and WordMinimum 2 years experience working in international logistics with port terminals, dray carriers, and steam ship lines is requiredProven experience in relationship building, facilitation, implementation skills and influenceStrong Communication SkillsLocation: Position can work remotely from a home office. Must be willing and able to work standard business hours.Salary: $62,659.00 to $78,854.00 per year Bonus Eligibility: YesThe pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
