Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Travel | Chicago, IL Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room in an urban, Level I Trauma setting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a high-acuity environment and be comfortable working in teaching hospitals. This position is ideal for those ready to engage in a fast-paced ER setting.

• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Emergency Department
• Administer emergency medications and manage acute conditions
• Perform arterial line management and ventilated patient care
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Manage traumatic injuries and psychiatric emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services

Qualifications

Required:

• 1 year of experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Skills: Emergency care, ventilated patient management, trauma response

Preferred:

• Certifications: TNCC, CPI
• Experience in a teaching hospital
