Then you might be just the superhero sidekick we’re looking for at Grass Lake Animal Hospital in the charming village of Grass Lake, Michigan.## **About the Role**: We’re on the hunt for a Licensed Veterinary Technician or an Experienced Veterinary Assistant who doesn’t mind a little fur on their scrubs and knows the difference between a pit bull and a porcupine (important). You’ll work alongside veterinarians and fellow animal lovers to:Cuddle stressed-out critters (yes, it’s a job requirement)Keep exam rooms clean and stocked—because no one wants to search for the thermometer after the patient arrivesTake vitals and assist during exams and proceduresAssist Doctors with surgeriesAdminister medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarianCollect and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, and fecesHandle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phonesEducate pet parents without using too much LatinProvide TLC to both four-legged and two-legged clients## ## **Who You Are**:High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Animal Care or related field is a plus.Licensed in the state of MI and in good standing with the board for all LVTsPrevious experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is a must.Physical ability to lift and handle animals of varying sizesYou’re not squeamish (because things will ooze)You know how to keep your cool during a Chihuahua tantrumYou’re a team player with a strong stomach and a soft heartBonus points if you can do all this while holding a cup of coffeeWhy Grass Lake?
