TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; will consider 1.5 years with Level 1 Trauma experience preferred. License: NM license can pend at time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (TNCC must be obtained prior to submission). Must-Have: - Strong travel experience preferred. - Level 1 Trauma experience preferred. - Weekend availability as needed. Description: Travelers must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day. Assignments may primarily consist of admitted patients. Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department consists of admitted patients, and many ED rooms are designated for holding. Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights, is expected. Documentation and communication of clinical findings are part of the responsibilities. Ratios in the Emergency Department are 1:5 for patient assignments. Travelers may float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; floating to Peds ED is optional. COVID vaccination is optional; reporting is required. Flu vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions only. Travelers can be scheduled for weekends as needed. No locals within a 100-mile radius are accepted. Limited pre-approved time off is allowed, with a maximum of 7 days preferred. Compliance documentation must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date. The facility supports interdisciplinary services including respiratory, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and social services. Bar Code Medication scanning is an expectation for all employees. Some procedures may include arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates must have prior trauma and resuscitation experience. No call is required for this position. Professionals without the required certification may be subject to termination if compliance is not met during orientation. 6-month break is required after four consecutive assignments or at one year, whichever comes first. Former staff must have a 12-month separation before reapplying.
