About the Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse – Nurse Educator (Diabetes Program) Location : Farmington, CT 06030 Duration : 20 weeks with 40 Hours/week Shift : 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM (07:00–15:30) or 08:00 AM start option Rotation : No  Float : No  Work Settings : Unit Outpatient - Diabetes Education Weekly Pay : $2,600   Role Overview   Job Description : 

• This is a Nurse Educator role focused on coordinating a Diabetes Education Program within an outpatient clinic setting. 
• You will lead patient education initiatives while overseeing clinical staff and ensuring high-quality diabetes care and program delivery.
• Coordinate and manage the Diabetes Education Program in an outpatient setting.
• Provide education to patients on diabetes management, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
• Supervise a team including 2 RNs and 1 Dietician.
• Monitor patient progress and ensure effective care outcomes.
• Perform administrative duties including documentation, reporting, and program oversight.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills/Experience :

• Must have Active RN license (CT or compact).
• Must have BLS.
• Must have Certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and/or Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM).
• Must have Strong background in diabetes education and outpatient care.
• Must have Previous travel experience in educator or leadership roles

• Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
• Day shift with flexibility in start time (7:00 AM or 8:00 AM).
• Leadership role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
