Details Adult 26-bed orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies Unit provides integrated pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support Patient population includes Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE diagnoses Performs special procedures including bedside lumbar puncture, post-Cath care (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT Angio, and Heparin drips Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Every other weekend requirement, approximately 6 weekend shifts per contract 13-week assignment length Floating to other qualified units or campuses required based on census needs EPIC EMR used for charting Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Dysrhythmia certification preferred Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic experience required 1 year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required Previous charge experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Additional Information Provide specialized post-operative care for patients recovering from spinal surgeries Support comprehensive patient care including pain management, physical therapy, and mobility assistance Facility allows 1 call-off shift per 2 weeks First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted subject to radius rule criteria Weekly Monday orientation and annual compliance training required Pre-assignment testing and modules required within 48 hours of receiving login credentials American Traveler Job ID P-745962.
