Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary Schedule: 36 Nights, Every other weekend and Holiday Commitment. The Staff Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department’s Clinical Practice Manual. Demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The role is a Critical Care Float Pool RN that responds to emergencies in any department and acts as the lead for all patient care emergency responses including Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, and outpatient Code Blue calls. Responsibilities • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for ICU patients. • Lead emergency responses and coordinate rapid team activation. • Practice Patient and Family Centered Care Model in a high‑pressure environment. • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families under stressful conditions. • Maintain ICU documentation and adhere to all I C.A.R.E. standards. Qualifications BSN required. Current Massachusetts registered nurse license required. Minimum 2‑3 years ICU experience preferred. BLS certification required. ACLS certification required or must be obtained by end of orientation. Demonstrated analytic thinking and prioritization skills. Strong observational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in applying hospital standards of teamwork, respect, and time/priority management. Additional Information Location: 1153 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
