We are seeking an independent Mobile heavy diesel mechanic to join our small fleet team. This role involves performing weekly semi truck repairs, routine maintenance, and on-site inspections. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn, grow with the company, and ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on heavy diesel semi trucks
- Conduct weekly inspections and diagnostics to identify issues
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace necessary parts
- Maintain safety compliance during all equipment testing and repairs
- Manage fleet repair records and documentation accurately
- Work independently while collaborating with a small team of mechanics
- Report work progress to the Operations Manager
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in heavy diesel mechanics
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with diesel engine repair
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication abilities
