Ready to be part of a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and long-term career growth?Weyerhaeuser’s Longview Lumber Mill in Longview, Washington is hiring a Journey-Level Millwright to help us continue our tradition of excellence in the timber industry.This is a union-represented role with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Woodworkers Lodge W536, offering competitive pay, benefits, and the opportunity to build a rewarding career—not just a job.Why Weyerhaeuser?Stability You Can Count On: With limited downtime and consistent work availability, Longview Lumber is a place where you can grow and thrive.Career Longevity: Many of our team members have spent their entire careers here—and retired with pride.Legacy of Excellence: Be part of a company that’s been a cornerstone of the Longview community for generations.What You’ll Do:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine centers to keep operations running smoothly.Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to fabricate and modify equipment.Repair or replace chains, belt conveyors, gearboxes, drive chains, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Perform welding and cutting tasks with precision and safety.Qualifications:What We’re Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience in welding, fabrication, machine assembly, and alignment.Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.Team-oriented attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills.Willingness to work across job boundaries and learn new skills.Previous Millwright experience.Commitment to safety and respect for others.Ability to work at heights, use stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.Comfortable working in environments with wood dust and varying temperatures.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Work Schedule:Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends.Already Applied Before?We encourage previous applicants to reapply—your skills and experience are valued, and we’d love to hear from you again.This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position. Please be advised that due to the designation of this position as safety-sensitive, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.Compensation: Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site.
