Learn how Eastwall helps our clients pave the way as leading organizations at the Job The Azure Solution Architect is a customer-facing mid-to-senior-level (depending on experience) technical presales & delivery role. This role will work directly with Executive Leadership & Channel Sales to design, architect, sell, and implement modern Azure solutions that accelerate customer business & industry outcomes. Upon selling an engagement, the Azure Solution Architect will transition the project into delivery, ensuring success project kickoff and execution of the customer vision.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.What You'll DoDirectly engage with customers & Microsoft individually or as part of a technical sales team on presales scoping calls, proposal development, and written statements of work (SOWs).Oversee and advise on the implementation of the customer's Azure platform or on-premises systems, translating business and industry outcomes into technical solutions.Demonstrate technical leadership through personally implemented architectures, project methodologies, and Azure services with engineering after an engagement is sold.Act as a trusted advisor to customer technology & business leadership for thought leadership and solution approaches.Extract business requirements from customers and translate them into well-architected recommendations in line with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).Develop and provide forward-looking guidance and future state roadmaps.Leverage known best practices and solutions to reduce risk to customer implementations and standardize Eastwall's presales and delivery approach.Collaborate with Eastwall executive, sales, and delivery teams to ensure customer alignment to Eastwall, Microsoft, and Customer goals as part of our "Three legs of the stool" approach.Experience At least 5 years of experience in Azure cloud solutions such as Infrastructure (Networking, Virtual Machines, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery), Application Modernization (App Services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices), and Data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Warehousing). Candidates without direct technical experience on Azure should not apply. At least 2 years of experience with presales responsibilities related to proposal development, solution architecture, statement of work authoring, and co-owning of technical sales pipeline with a direct sales team.Experience in a consultative role or engineering role working with multiple clients concurrently at any given time is required.Direct channel sales experience with Microsoft is preferred but not required.Experience supporting production applications or workloads, being able to performance test and troubleshoot related issues.Experience with other public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Oracle) is beneficial but not required.Experience in any cloud AI/ML services is beneficial, but not requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing & PowerPoint presentations.Expectations New hires in this role may be required to complete one or more of the below certifications within the first 3-to-6 months of hire (paid for in full by Eastwall):Microsoft Exam AZ-305: Azure Solution ArchitectMicrosoft Exam AZ-104: Azure Virtual Desktop SpecialtyMicrosoft Exam DP-300: Azure Database Administrator AssociateThis is a client-facing, heavily technical management consulting role that involves day-to-day client interaction in presales and delivery, with up to 50% billable utilization.This role will travel within the continental United States up to 20%, at times monthly.The base salary range for this role is $145,000-$175,000.This will be an individual contributor role and will be remote.
