PRN-Registered Nurse

The Endoscopy Center is a team of dedicated and accomplished professionals utilizing state of the art technology and proven methods to provide exceptional patient care. We are recruiting for PRN Registered Nurses who share our passion for ensuring superior outpatient care in the field of Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Works the admit and recovery room, as well as the procedure room.
• Maintains patient privacy in conjunction with company policies, HIPAA guidelines and all relevant government regulations.
• Follows facility specific standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Makes informed decisions to provide appropriate patient care.
• Operates equipment safely and accurately.
• Performs pre-procedure assessments on patients and reassesses as needed during and after procedure.
• Provides patient with information regarding procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy in conjunction with company policies, HIPAA guidelines and all relevant government regulations.
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment and universal precautions.
• Displays respectful behavior towards others.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure for RN in the State of Louisiana.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.
• One year experience as an RN is required.
• Experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be able to periodically lift 20lbs.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and the Internet is required.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3pm (or later as needed to assist with procedures).
